A High School of Today & Tomorrow

Delve into the Handley of the present and future. What is Handley like today? What motivates Handley students? What do they study in school? What extracurricular activities inspire them? How do they like to spend free time? What do they see in their futures?

We’ve invited a contingent of current students to share perspectives and answer questions on Thursday, May 9 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at the Handley Library auditorium. Come meet the students of Handley’s next century. Facilitated by Valerie O’Keeffe, Handley theater teacher. Free and open to all.

Fireside Chat w/ Ambassador William A. Eaton ’71

Ambassador William A. Eaton, Handley Class of 1971, is the honoree of the April 18th installment of the Handley 100th Alumni Speakers Series. Eaton had a distinguished career with the United States Department of State, serving in posts around the world in times critical for those countries. He was nominated by President George W. Bush as Assistant Secretary of State for Administration, serving during the term of Secretary Colin Powell, and was later confirmed by the U.S. Senate as Ambassador to the Republic of Panama. Eaton’s remarks on April 18 will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Handley Library auditorium in a fireside chat format. He will be interviewed by his Handley classmate Harry Smith. The talk is free and open to the public.

Giovanni Taliaferro, a 1996 Handley High School graduate, is vice president of memorabilia and design for Hard Rock International. He gave a “fireside chat” on Tuesday evening at Handley Regional Library as part of Handley’s 100th Anniversary. Interviewing him is Handley classmate Mitch Hoopes.
